Are Yorkies a Hard Dog to Train? My parents have had a few Yorkies throughout their lives and they always seem very difficult to potty train and get used to specific commands. Bella, the Yorkie in question lol, the doggy is very hyper as well. Almost as if Bella has ADHD.  I haven't spoken to many other dog owners, besides watching all the episodes of Cesar Millan, AKA the Dog Whisperer. I have tried some of the tactics on Bella the Cesar does and most do not seem to work. Cesar seems to take the worst-behaved dog and within seconds tames the dog, most of the time.  I know the elephant in the room at this point is any great training will take a lot of repetition and tons of training, but still some homeowners seem to teach their dogs a few tricks and teach them to behave through little amounts of training here and there throughout time.  Bella is 6 years old she can't seem to concentrate.  I have been staying this to my dad for the week and watching over his dog, Bella, and cat, Mr. Buttons. I have to laugh when looking at Mr. Buttons, the cat, because he has a look similar look to Garfield. Maybe cats are actually aliens from another planet observing us and are growing tired of us humans, LOL.   Mr. Buttons Then I look over to the dog, Bella, which is a Yorkie. I am not sure if Yorkie's are a breed that is harder to teach, but Bella, the dog, seems as though she is one of the Three Stooges that is on the dumb side, without beating around the bush, LOL. Bella loves attention and gets upset when people hug around her, pet the cat, basically give any attention to anyone else but her. Bella can be half sleeping, tired, and someone will go pet Mr. Buttons and Bella will bounce up from the couch, tired, sleepy and push Mr. Buttons out of the way and start barking.
