THE TRUTH ABOUT FACTOR MEALS: 12 Meal Unboxing & First Impressions
Since you're sharing this on your blog to go along with the video, you want something that captures that "CoreniaBug" energy—personable, helpful, and just a little bit witty.
Here is a blog post layout you can use. It’s designed to be "scannable" for readers who might be looking for specific info like the price or the macros.
Revisiting Factor: 12 Meals, $90, and Honest First Impressions
Hey everyone! Hope y’all are having a fantastic day. Today, we’re doing something a little different on the blog. If you’ve been following along, you know I’ve tried Cook Unity in the past (check out that post [here]), but it was time to head back to a familiar favorite: Factor Meals. They sent me a "coupon" (or coupon, depending on who you ask!), so I decided to dive back in and see how they stack up in 2026.
The Unboxing Experience
First things first—the shipping. Factor really goes heavy on the insulation. The box arrived with super puffy padding and several "freezy packs" that were still mostly frozen. Everything felt safe and chilled, though we did have one "rogue seed" incident from the Asian Crunch Salad!
What’s on the menu this week:
For Me: Asian Crunch Chicken Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad, and the Athenian Style Feta Chicken.
For the Husband: Verde Salmon, Caramelized Onion Gourmet Burger, and the Loaded Mashed Potatoes with Shredded Chicken.
Let’s Talk Numbers: Macros & Pricing
One thing to watch out for with these prepared meal services is the fat content. Just like Cook Unity, Factor can run a little high on fats, but they are great for high-protein goals.
The Loaded Mashed Potatoes: 450 calories | 34g Protein | 23g Fat
The Chicken Caesar Salad: 430 calories | 40g Protein | 15g Carbs (A total win for my low-carb days!)
The Verde Salmon: 590 calories | 36g Protein | 33g Fat
The Bottom Line on Cost: I ordered 12 meals for a total out-the-door price of $90.88. That brings it to about $7.57 per meal with the discount. Without a coupon, you’re looking closer to $12.00. Is it cheaper than meal prepping yourself? No. But is it cheaper and healthier than a $10 burger at the drive-thru? Absolutely.
The Taste Test: Buffalo Style Sour Cream Chicken
I tried the Buffalo Chicken with Ranch Mash first. Pro-tip: Always taste the sauce before you dump it!
The chicken wasn’t dry (a common issue with pre-made meals), and the ranch mashed potatoes were creamy and seasoned perfectly. The heat level was a solid "mid-range"—spicy enough to be interesting but not enough to ruin your afternoon.
What do you think? Have you tried Factor or Cook Unity lately? Let me know in the comments!
Stay tuned for Part 2! I’ll be filming my thoughts on every single meal throughout the week to give you the final verdict on whether Factor is worth your hard-earned money.
